How much does a laptop screen replacement cost?
Windows and Chromebook screen fitting is £50 plus the panel. MacBook screen fitting is £85 plus the panel, and Mac panels usually cost more. We always give a fixed quote before ordering any parts.
My laptop refuses to charge — can it be fixed?
Often, yes. On the bench this is usually a worn power brick, an ageing battery, or a damaged DC jack or USB-C port. A removable charging port, or a port on its own small board, is £65. A port soldered to the main board is quoted after the free diagnosis. The free diagnostic shows which one it is before we quote.
Can you recover files if my laptop won't turn on?
Often, if the drive itself is still readable. Files sit on the internal drive, not on the screen or the power circuit. If the motherboard is dead we can still try to copy documents and photos from a healthy drive onto an external drive. A clicking or failed drive is a different job, and we can't promise every file will come back.
