Why Wickford trusts LaunchLayer
Questions about the laptop MOT.
What happens if you can’t fix my laptop?
If the MOT finds nothing worth doing, we'll tell you straight. The £60 covers the check itself.
Will my personal files and photos stay private?
Yes. Your files stay confidential in our Wickford workshop. We only access what’s needed for diagnostics and never copy personal data without permission.
How long does a Laptop MOT take?
We'll confirm the timing when you book. Any extra repair or upgrade work needs a separate quote for you to approve. Free collection is for SS11 and SS12. Elsewhere, collection is by arrangement. The £60 check is open to the rest of South Essex as well.
Is £60 all I’ll pay, or are there hidden extras?
£60 is the complete fixed price for the full 50-point service. If we uncover a separate hardware fault — like a worn battery — you’ll get a clear quote before any extra work begins.
Need something more specific?
If the MOT points to a bigger fault, these pages cover the next step.
