Eco-Friendly Laptop Recycling & Refurbishment in Wickford
Wondering what to do with your old, broken, or slow computer in Essex? Don't bin your e-waste. We have partnered with Steve at Boxers Barbers to collect, securely data-wipe, and refurbish unused laptops for children in Ukraine to help secure their ongoing education. It is completely free, incredibly secure, and keeps old technology out of landfills.
The Secure Donation Pipeline
All hardware donations pass directly through our workshop bench first. LaunchLayer manages the absolute destruction of your personal data and the physical structural repairs. Boxers Barbers manages the final transport logistics and deployment to children in need.
Workshop Drop-off
Bring your old devices directly to our secure Wickford bench. We immediately log the asset and remove it from public circulation.
Military-Grade Data Wipe
Your privacy is our absolute priority. We run certified, raw block-level software erasure scripts to ensure 100% of your personal files, passwords, and photos are permanently destroyed.
Workshop Overhaul
We replace dead batteries, fix broken screens, perform internal dust clean-outs, and install fresh, clean operating systems arrays.
Logistics Handover
The fully restored, safe hardware is passed directly to Steve at Boxers Barbers, who executes the secure transit logistics directly to Ukraine.
Urgent Hardware Needed
Laptops & Notebooks
Windows notebooks, MacBooks, and Chromebook configurations (completely functional, damaged, or entirely dead hardware frames).
Tablets & iPads
Any generation, model variant, screen format size, or historical operating system setup.
Power Components Infrastructure
Laptop wall chargers, power brick supplies, interface attachment systems, and loose power line cords are highly vital assets required to get these machines functional.
We accept computer hardware in any cosmetic or structural condition. Even if a machine runs incredibly slowly, won't turn on, or has a shattered screen, we can strip dead devices to use as raw donor parts to fix others.

Straight answers before you book.
What happens to the personal files left on my laptop?
As soon as we receive your device, it undergoes military-grade, block-level data erasure. We guarantee 100% destruction of all personal files, passwords, and records before the hardware is ever refurbished or dismantled.
Do you accept computers that are completely dead or broken?
Yes. Even if a machine won't turn on or has a shattered screen, we want it. We can salvage the internal components to repair other donated machines, ensuring nothing goes to a landfill unnecessarily.
Do you take chargers, cables, or old peripherals?
Absolutely. Power infrastructure like laptop chargers, power bricks, and loose cables are in high demand and are essential for getting these devices back up and running.
Is there any cost for me to donate my old technology?
None at all. Our data wiping, hardware repair, and the subsequent transport logistics managed by Boxers Barbers are completely free. You just need to drop the items off at our Wickford workshop.
